id on a new clam

hello this clam was sold to me as a crocea but the shell shape looks very different. its opening very well and looks great. have any ideas on what it is?

Looks like a squamosa to me. The Scutes are large and the mantle is wide. How big is the clam?

6+ inches and it openes wide and hangs over the shell when fully open. What are the care requirements for this species as far as lighting and placement? I have 4 54 watt ati t5 bulbs and a boost led par 30 shining right on it.

As long as it's not a really deep tank you should be fine regardless of what kind of clam it is. Just keep the Ca and Alk up as clams can use alot.

The tank is a 72 bow and the lights are 24 inches from the sand but the clam has a boost led par 30 with 40 * optics shining right on it and is responding very well.
