RODI ATO System

So I have the MightMite RODI system. I also have a ATO system.

Are there any potential issues with running the output of my RODI system from the garage, into the attic, across the house (150ft), and down the wall into a 5 gallon bucket with float valve where the ATO system is hooked up?

I'm really tired of hauling gallons of water across the house every 3 days.

Didn't know if the heat from the attic would cause troubles, or long line length, or other un-thought-of issues might be a show stopper.

Thanks!

First they may be a problem pushing the water all that way especiaaly up hill. That would be a trial and error thing. IMO The heat should not be a problem, since you are running it into a bucket. Just make sure you check the temp before you put it in the tank. One other suggestion put a small ball valve on the line at both places where the water comes from and where it ends up. That way if there is a problem you can shut off the water from either side. Nothing more frustrating finding a problem then have to run to the other end of the house, Besides that they are only a couple of bucks. Cheap insurance.

Yes - I think I would try to find a different solution (how about moving the RODI system?).

You'll be putting some back pressure to the membrane - which is never good in an RODI system. If you have especially good feedwater pressure, might be an acceptable tradeoff.

Those little systems however don't have a pressure gauge, so I suspect you don't know your pressure. Also - you never want your DI cartridge to be horizontal - unclip it and prop it up so it is vertical with bottom-up flow.
