All the Phoenix 14000k bulbs I have seen look "yellow" to me.

I've not noticed any yellow in the Phoenix 14k. I find it a pleasing mix of blue with some white. The Reeflux 12k is about the same, but with less PAR.

The LFS is saying the phoenix bulbs maybe get 90 to a 100 days then there spent, time to replace them?

Sounds like you havent seen many pheonix bulbs. Yellow is not the first word that comes to mind.. I have heard people call them Windex blue. I would agree they are very very blue.
The pheonix is bluer than most 20k bulbs.
The LFS that says they don't last just wants to sell you whatever crap they are selling.

You need a new LFS, that one is run by morons. Have them read this.

I have run both, and they are both very nice bulbs. If you want more well rounded color, use the Reeflux. If you want things to pop more but you lose some of the yellows, use the Phoenix. I honestly liked them both a lot but think overall I like the Phoenix better. I used Lumatek e-ballasts and it was not a windex blue on the Phoenix, but more a very crisp white/blue. Very nice color.

Depends on the ballast as to the color but the pheonix is the better bulb IME.
